The Association committee in talks with the new

Minister of Culture

The committee of the Association of Professional Theatres has entered ongoing

and regular talks with the new minister of culture, Martin Baxa (ODS). The topics

of the very first talks included COVID restrictions and budgetary proposals.

In its mission statement, the cabinet ofprime minister Petr Fiala has pledged that by 2025, it will make the budged of the Ministry of Culture as close to 1% of the national budget as possible.

„This pledge still stands. It became part of the statement during tough times, and there are reasons why it remains important,”said Martin Baxa.
